Kent State University (KSU) is a public research university located in Kent, Ohio. Established in 1910 as a normal school, the university first held classes in 1912 at various temporary locations before opening its original campus buildings the following year. Since then, KSU has expanded significantly, now offering numerous baccalaureate and graduate programs across over 1,000 acres and 119 buildings on its Kent campus.
