Xavier University of Louisiana is a private Catholic university located in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is a historically black college and university (HBCU). It is the only Catholic HBCU in the country. When Katharine Drexel was canonized in 2000, Xavier became the first Catholic university established by a saint.
